July Updates

Welcome to this July edition of the Union Ridge School's Newsletter! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is open. If you have not yet completed registration for your child(ren), please do so through Skyward Family Access. All families must log in to Skyward Family Access and complete the registration process for each student who will be attending Union Ridge School next year.

During registration, families are required to upload current residency documentation for each student. Registration is considered complete once all required information and documentation have been submitted and approved. If additional documentation is needed, Mrs. Marsh will contact you directly.

We encourage families to complete registration by July 30th to assist with planning for the upcoming school year. Students with incomplete registration or outstanding fees may experience delays in receiving their class schedules. For more information about registration, please visit our school website registration page.

Union Ridge School will be offering in-person registration hours for families that need help completing the online registration and or paying their school fees. Families should call the office and schedule an appointment to meet with Mrs. Marsh if they need assistance with registration. If you are having trouble making a payment online, families are welcome to walk-in and pay by cash, check, or credit card.

In-Person Office Hours are as follows:

Tuesday, July 14th - 7:30am to 11:30am

Tuesday, July 21st - 7:30am to 11:30am

Tuesday, August 4th - 7:30am to 11:30am

Tuesday, August 11th - 7:30am to 11:30am

Due to construction, registration will be held in Room 153. Families must enter (walk) through the north parking lot door on Oak Park Avenue. Please look for the sign in the parking lot.

All District 86 residents must provide proof of residency. Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and district resources by identifying non-residents attending Union Ridge School. Illinois law mandates that parents demonstrate residency before school enrollment and allows for periodic verification to validate compliance with the law. Families whose residency we cannot verify may be asked to provide additional documentation.

To support this effort, the district may use third party services for address verification. Contact the office if you cannot provide the requested documentation ( Tel: 708-867-5822 or email: mmarsh@urs86.org ).

We also want to remind families that the use of a relative's or friend's address for enrollment purposes is not permitted. We appreciate our families' cooperation in helping us maintain accurate residency records and ensure that district resources are available to the students and families who call District 86 home.

As you prepare for the upcoming school year, please take a moment to review the district's health requirements. Illinois law requires certain physical, dental, eye examinations, and immunizations for students entering specific grade levels. Students in kindergarten need their vision examination form due by October 15th. All students entering/returning to EC, going to kindergarten and 6th grade need physicals. Dental examination forms are needed for K, 2nd and 6th grade. Physicals must have TB section and lead section completed with immunizations or they will not be accepted. Physicals are due before the first day of school in order for them to attend. Students participating in athletics must also have a current sports physical on file.

School fees for the 2026-2027 school year are posted in our online payment systems and Skyward Registration form. The School fees for the 2026-2027 can be paid at any time. Families should log in and complete all registration requirements, including payment of applicable fees, as soon as possible. Students with incomplete registration or outstanding fees may experience delays in receiving their class schedules.
