Union Ridge Alumni Bride and Groom To Be
“There’s a teacher who wants to say hi.” That is what David Belcher told his girlfriend Stephanie Gonzales on Friday April 7, 2017. Both David and Stephanie graduated from Union Ridge School in 2005. Since David is involved with many activities and events throughout the area, such as serving as a coach and referee in the Harwood Heights community, Stephanie was not surprised when he asked if they could make a quick stop at Union Ridge School. However, she did not expect to be led blindfolded into the gym where David, her boyfriend since their Union Ridge days, got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. David chose to propose to Stephanie at Union Ridge, not only because it is where they met, but because it held a special place in both their hearts. Union Ridge School contributed to who they are now as adults. It was lessons they learned in the gym, classroom and playground that helped form who they are today. We are honored that David chose the Union Ridge gym to propose to Stephanie, who lovingly accepted the proposal. Over 35 Union Ridge staff, alumni and friends in attendance, applauded Stephanie’s decision to say yes. We wish them continued happiness and success in their future together!
