Mrs. Rudel
I have a passion in finding ways to meeting each individual child’s educational, emotional, social needs and fostering community which makes them feel welcomed and loved. I find ways to empower them with knowledge and to think critically about the world that we live in. The last thirty years of my profession I have witnessed the challenges of education, the realization that our context, standards, and society have changed dramatically. I am looking forward to continuing my journey in order to better meeting the needs of my children and their families, and ultimately our world through them.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Education from Concordia College and a Masters from Concordia University in the area of Curriculum and Instruction. I have enjoyed being a First and Second Grade Teacher at Union Ridge for 31 years.

I love teaching first and second grade! The students develop and grow so much over the course of two years. They are amazing! I believe that children learn best when the teacher and the parents work together to achieve the same goals with a child. I love to have open communication with families since my students are my top priority. This year you can be certain that I will work diligently to help them in any way possible. With that in mind, please feel free to contact me at any point if you have questions or concerns about something going on in the classroom or with your child specifically.
