Homework

Each day, your child will be assigned homework. Homework is critical to your child's success in school- each homework assignment reinforces a skill taught in the classroom. The homework assigned will be simple and should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete each night. Please help your child complete this homework by the assigned due date. If there is not a due date listed on the assignment, the homework is due the following day.

Good homework habits start in kindergarten!

When completing homework, be sure your child is seated at a table in a quiet area of your home, so they are able to do their best thinking. All homework must be completed in pencil (unless it is specified in the directions to use other materials). Please be sure your child completes his/her homework in a timely fashion. Encourage your child to do their best work and offer assistance when needed.

Book It Reading Journal

In addition to daily homework, your child will also need to complete a monthly reading log. Your child must record the books he/she reads or the books that are read to them. Completing the Reading Journal is mandatory. Your child will be rewarded for his/her hard work with a coupon for a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut!
