Italian program
Our Italian language program at Union Ridge School is unique because all of our students in kindergarten through 8th grade participate. The students begin learning the language and culture at a young age. Our K-5th grade level students start the program with one class per week; as they progress to the middle school level (6th-8th) students are participating in the program on a daily basis. I work with Ridgewood High School's Italian teachers to implement instructional strategies that prepare our students for high school and beyond. The goal set for the language program is to have every Union Ridge student prepared to enter Italian II at the high school level. We are proud of the fact that nearly all of our former students achieve AP classes in Italian by their senior year.
