Congratulations to the Union Ridge Battle of the Books team for winning its third championship in a row! The team received its trophy and medals during the awards ceremony held at Eisenhower Library on Wednesday, March 19th; they will be prominently displayed in the school library. The students also had an opportunity to meet celebrated childrens' author Kate Hannigan during the program.
Battle of the Books is open to all fourth, fifth and sixth grade students with a passion for reading. All battles are held at the Eisenhower Library from January thru March. Please contact Mr. Kovilic, fifth grade teacher, for details. Congratulations again to all of our participants!
