Cook County Farm Bureau visited fourth graders to present them with agriculture in the classroom. Students learned how agriculture is the #1 industry in Illinois and how agriculture affects all people. Fourth graders learned how food gets from the farm to our table, different job opportunities within agriculture, and about the new modern machinery farmers use. Students participated in different hands-on activities including: seeing and touching a variety of grains and making a food chain from farm to table.
