Two Union Ridge middle school students were recognized for their outstanding scholastic achievement at the West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence Award Ceremony that was held at Hinsdale South High School in Darien on Wednesday evening, May 3rd! Eighth grader, Krystian Szczech, received medals for ACT in the subjects of English, Math, Reading, and Science. Seventh grader, Angela Borek, received a medal for SAT in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing.
The SAT and ACT are above grade-level tests usually given in high school, and these students scored above the national average! Union Ridge School is a proud member of the West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence. WSCAE is a group of 16 high-performing west suburban school districts that participate in SAT and ACT each year as part of the NUMATS (Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search).
Claire Kelly and Taylor Chan also received medals for their achievements on ACT.
