Students of third grade have been learning all about how to be meaningful contributors to their community. In social studies, they have participated in many community services such as walking dogs, donating food and clothing, volunteering at local businesses, and showing appreciation to community workers through cards and gift bags. Recently, the third graders have been motivated and inspired to make our community a cleaner and safer place to live and play. Some students are even choosing to use their recess time to work as a team to clean up their playground. They are shocked to be finding so much trash every day littered about where they play with their friends! There’s also a feeling of satisfaction for the hard work in cleaning up their playground. Now, how can you help? They want to get the word out, so check out this presentation that the third graders put together!
