Union Ridge School 3rd grade student participates in a community service.

Who’s got SWAG? Julian does! Third graders at Union Ridge School got the opportunity to participate in a community service of their choice. Throughout their community, students picked up trash, donated food, and volunteered their time to help others. Julian took his passion for animals and chose to give back by volunteering his time at the Chicago Canine Rescue. Working with Chicago Canine Rescue, Julian reached out to his follow classmates and teachers for their support.  After setting up a donation bin and displaying flyers around school, Julian has been presenting his community service to various classes around the school, in hopes to inspire others. Instantly, students and teachers have come together to donate various items. Julian has turned his community service into a school wide team effort. In Julian's words, "Homeless pets need good homes.  Every little bit helps!"  Union Ridge School strives to develop students into successful contributors of society. How will you make your community a better place?
