The Union Ridge girls’ softball team dedicated their game on September 19th against Giles to those who have died and those who are continuing to fight breast cancer. Breast Cancer is one of the most common cancers in women but thanks to the American Cancer Society, millions of people are getting treatment and early detection which can extend lives and survival. Both teams came together and released balloons for loved ones that have been affected by breast cancer. This was a very touching tribute for all involved. The service committee sold tee shirts for $10 and the proceeds are going to Breast Cancer Awareness. On Friday, October 21, 2016, we are asking our students to wear pink or their Breast Cancer shirt in support of those who are affected by breast cancer. We hope you can help support our cause!
