Former Astronaut Thomas Jones visited Union Ridge School to speak on May 19th, which was also named Mission One Inspiration Day. Inspiration Day allowed Union Ridge to be one of the 12 schools in the local Chicago area to share in an extraordinary event, bringing support and awareness to STEM learning opportunities to youth. Astronaut Jones engaged our students in a presentation all about his personal experiences. He encouraged our fierce explorers to "shoot for the stars!"
